Our approach
We aim to make Is This Mail Real? usable by people with different access needs. Accessibility work is ongoing. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a reference for improvements.
Available features
- Text-size settings from 100% to 200%.
- High contrast, underlined links, and extra text spacing.
- A reduced-motion option and support for your device’s reduced-motion setting.
- Keyboard-operable controls, visible focus styles, and a skip link.
- Labeled text input, screenshot upload controls, and status announcements.
- Settings saved on your device, with a reset option.
Using the controls
Open the Accessibility button near the bottom of the screen. Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between controls, Space to toggle checkboxes, and Escape to close the panel. Your browser’s zoom controls remain available. You can paste email text instead of uploading a screenshot.
Known limitations
The site has not undergone a comprehensive independent accessibility audit, and we do not claim full WCAG conformance. The settings panel alone does not establish accessibility compliance. Screenshot text recognition may fail on poor-quality images or complex layouts, and some combinations of browser, assistive technology, and enlarged text may require further improvements.
Reporting a barrier
If a barrier prevents you from using this preview, report it to the person who provided you access. Include the page, what you were trying to do, and your browser or assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing that information. Do not include a private email or screenshot containing sensitive information in a report.
