Website address checks

Website URLs are compared locally with a limited list of known US storefront domains or a reference domain you provide. The checker looks for misleading hostnames and URL patterns. It does not visit the website, compare logos or page designs, follow redirects, verify ownership, or establish that a retailer is legitimate. A domain match is not a guarantee of safety. Entered URLs are not saved or sent to an analysis service.

About the service

Is This Mail Real? provides a browser-based preview for reviewing suspicious email text and screenshots. Using the checker means you accept these terms for that use. If you do not agree, do not use the checker.

No guarantee of authenticity or safety

Results are informational assessments of visible text, not proof that a sender is genuine or a message is safe. The checker can miss scams and can flag legitimate messages. Screenshot recognition can make mistakes. The current version uses text patterns, not an AI model, full email authentication, attachment scanning, or live link-reputation checks.

Do not rely on a result alone to send money, reveal credentials, open an attachment, or follow a link. Verify sensitive requests through a known, trusted website or contact method. This service does not replace professional security advice or incident response.

Your responsibilities

Only submit material you are authorized to use. Do not use this service to deceive others, build phishing campaigns, disrupt the service, bypass access controls, or infringe anyone’s rights. Do not include passwords or sensitive information that is unnecessary for the check.

Your content

You retain your rights in content you provide. This browser-based checker processes that content locally to show your result and does not claim ownership of it.

Availability and changes

This is a preview and may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn. Results may be incomplete or incorrect. Offline features depend on your browser, cached files, and device settings.

Subscriptions

Connected inbox monitoring and paid subscriptions are not available in the current preview. Any displayed future pricing is proposed. Actual charges, renewal terms, cancellation instructions, and any applicable refund terms will be presented before a future purchase. These terms do not authorize a payment.

Responsibility and legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the preview is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or error-free results. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
